What is Vedic Meditation?
Vedic Meditation has been around for over 5,000 years, rooted in the Veda—the same ancient body of knowledge that brought us Yoga and Ayurveda. But this technique wasn’t designed for renunciates or monks. It was created for “house holders”—people like us who are living full lives with jobs, families, responsibilities, passions, and ambitions. It’s also for seekers, people up to big things, or anyone feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just looking for a way to move through life with more ease, grace, happiness, and clarity.
What makes Vedic Meditation so special is how effortless it is. You don’t need perfect silence, a special posture, or hours of free time. You can do it anywhere—on a plane, in a noisy house, at the office, in a waiting room, or even on a park bench. Anywhere you can think, you can meditate. We sit comfortably with our back supported and close our eyes. From there, the process unfolds naturally and effortlessly.
By practicing for just 20 minutes, twice a day, this technique gives your body deep rest, allowing stress to dissolve and your mind to reset. It shifts you out of fight-or-flight mode and into a state of calm, clarity, and balance. Over time, you’ll find yourself getting more done with less effort, responding to life’s demands with more adaptability and creativity. Instead of pushing through exhaustion, you’ll tap into a steady reservoir of energy and focus.
The best part? It’s ridiculously easy to learn, and you’ll start feeling the benefits right away. Meditators often notice better sleep, more energy, improved mood, and greater productivity almost immediately. Over time, it builds resilience to stress, strengthens cognitive function, deepens relationships, and creates a sense of fulfillment that ripples into every aspect of life.
I offer ongoing support through free weekly group meditations, personalized mentoring, and access to a global network of meditators. I teach private courses and workshops in Boulder & Denver, Colorado, Mendocino County, California, and am available to travel for group and private courses.
